Gattian Lake is located in Neelum Valley, Azad Kasmir, at an altitude of 12,000 feet above sea level. The lake is at the distance of 2 km from Ratti Gali Lake. It is alphine glacier lake, and the main source of water of this lake is from the glaciers on surrounding mountains.
It will be accessed from Dowarian Village toward Ratti Gali Lake for 3 to 4 hours trekking trek. Trek is full of greenery and beautiful scenic views. After reaching Ratti Gali Lake Basecamp, you need to cross the mountain in front of it by crossing Gattian Pass to access Gattian Lake.
HOW TO REACH?
1 – Islamabad to Ratti Gali Basecamp
Both public and personal transports can be used till Dawariyan.
Jeep Trek 2.5 Hours from Dawariyan to Ratti Gali Basecamp.
2 – Ratti Gali Base Camp to Gatiyan Lake
(5-6 Hours Hikking)
Horses are available at Ratti Gali Camp for ridding.
